| Description |
| Balaton cherries were brought to Michigan about 25 years ago from Lake Balaton, in Hungary. These are dark, tart cherries with a little bit of sweetness to them. Not as tart as the Montmorency (pie) cherries, and packed full of flavor.
Dried Balatons are our April Fruit of the Month! You can get these great "dark tarts" for 15% off the one-pound bag and 10% off the 4-pound bag. Stock up today.

We bought a bag of dried Balaton Cherries while visiting The Cherry Stop store this fall. They have a wonderful flavor, not too sweet or tart just right! I use them atop cold cereal, in regular salads, and in my husband's chicken salad. We absolutely love them! |
