Dried Cherries & Fruits

The Traverse City region is known for growing the best cherries. From the best cherries, come the best cherry products. Dried cherries, tart and sweet. We have great dried Balaton cherries too. A tart cherry that is a bit sweeter than the Montmorency tart cherry. Our sweet cherries are unsweetened, and our tart cherries and other dried fruits, blueberries and cranberries, are lightly sweetened to keep them moist and tender.

From our great dried fruits we can also make fantastic dried cherry blends. Cherries complement other fruits and foods so well, it is actually fun to try to think of foods that cherries just would not complement. So far, we have found very few. The Cherry Stop was actually founded on our Berry and Cherry Blend, a blend of dried tart cherries, blueberries and cranberries. From there, the ideas just kept coming and so has the fruit.

Using fruits from the Cherry Stop is a great way to meet the goal of 2-5 servings of fruit a day. Cherries are also naturally loaded with phytochemicals that promote health. The drying process does not destroy these phytocemicals, like the anthocyanins, so our dried cherries are packed with these healthful nutrients.
